Today was a fun day. Anne Morgan, Mollie, Beasley and I headed to Montgomery to visit with my best friend Kate (a.k.a. Aunt Kate to the dogs and AM). I wish I had my video camera out upon arrival. You see, our dogs go way back. In college the dogs, Kate, Trey and myself were together ALL OF THE TIME. We had such a blast. Whether it was hanging out with a HANDFUL of LARGE dogs in the apartment, cooking dinner or at the park we had great times. We've always said that if anything happened to one of us the other would take care of the dogs. We get each other. And our dogs.
Kate lives in Montgomery and we don't see each other as much as we would like. That means the dogs don't either. Mollie and Kate's Rottwieler Cash are girlfriend and boyfriend as are Beasley and her lab Dixie. Seriously. (I would find an old pic of the group but I put everything on discs and don't know where to begin). She's added a Boxer, Chop, to the mix now who fits in great. The point of all of this is that they go NUTS and I mean NUTS when they get to see each other. Most people would probably freak out, not us. We think it's great and apparently Anne Morgan did too. I really wish I had video of it. She wasn't phased at all.
After lunch we drove down the road to visit her horse Clipper. I pulled the camera out for this one. I have always loved horses and I hope AM does too. Hopefully she will actually get to spend more time with them than I have. She had her first experience today. We are going to have to keep this up- make it a more regular visit. I know she and I would enjoy it as much as the four legged friends do!
Anne Morgan will be the last person to ride Clipper.
