Trick or Treat

Thursday night we headed to downtown Auburn for Trick or Treating. Not really, we just went to hang out, enjoy the atmosphere and costumes and dance with the band. AM isn't quite old enough to trick or treat for candy but it's still fun to go down there! As usual, she was mesmerized by the band. We were there before they started playing so she ran around in the streets. THEN, the band started playing. I'm not kidding, the child did a straight beeline to the intersection where they were set up. She would have boogied all night if we had let her. We eventually made it to Mellow Mushroom for pizza where our little tiger was not feeling well. And I mean really not feeling well. Once she stopped dancing and slowed down it really hit her. When we got home her temperature was 102. She is feeling better now but still not back to normal. Poor thing has already gone to bed and we had to put a sign on our door not to ring the doorbell. We left the candy by the door. :(

To leave you on a happier note, we had a great time yesterday in Oxford, MS for the Auburn game. AM stayed in Montgomery with Gik and it sounds like they had a great time. Happy Halloween and War Eagle!

The cutest tiger around :)

As usual, she follows the dogs around :)

Uncle Buff

We are keeping my parents dogs for a week while they are in Chicago. We LOVE having the dogs. Anne Morgan included. She has a special affinity for Buff [a.k.a. Uncle Buff}. Buff is 13 years old (I think) and is just the sweetest old man. He puts up with a lot from AM and the other grandkids. Today she was determined to put a leash on him. Please note that he is a: asleep and b: not even wearing a collar. She was going to figure it out though! When he would wake up and move, she would go get the leash again and put it back on him.

Gonna get it to work...
There! I did it!
Later she decided to climb up in the chair on her own and rock back and forth.
I just thought this was a cute picture.

Birthday Weekend

I turned 29 yesterday. I've been celebrating for a few days! My parents came over on Thursday and we went to lunch, shopping and treated ourselves to yogurt. Friday we went to Montgomery to Holiday Market and lunch with a friend. Saturday was a fantastic birthday present...Auburn beat LSU in a great game! Yesterday we went to the zoo in Atlanta and when we came home Auburn moved up to #1 in the BCS standings! War Eagle! What a great way to celebrate. I have to admit I extended it into this morning and have been really lazy. I didn't feel well this morning so when AM took her nap I did too. It was wonderful...and we even had rain. Yep! I can't even remember when it last rained, but I'll consider it one more birthday present. :)

Here are some pictures from the zoo yesterday. There are quite a few, but only a few from the 350 that we took! Apparently we missed the memo, it was Boo in the Zoo so EVERYONE (even the adults) were in costumes.

Just arriving, AM is still waking up, she slept most of the way to Atlanta

"Mommy, what is that?" It's a pig sweetie, yuck!
Ready for more after lunch. Oh, at lunch we let her try ketchup with her fries for the first time. Just like her mommy, she loves it! (I haven't ever let her try sauces b/c I hate the mess!)

On the way to see the pandas...

"Whoa!!"

The Sun Bear
And the tiger.......Warrr Eagle! :)

I loved the orangutans, they are so funny!

And the gorillas were amazing, they're so so huge!

Of course the giraffes are always awesome!
Ready to go home but we had a great time!
In other news, Anne Morgan now has 4 teeth on top and is getting another one, or two, on the bottom! I will have to do a post soon on all of the funny things she is doing now. So stay tuned.

Fall Afternoon with the Dogs

(She is trying to hard to figure out how to put the ball in the "Chuck It!")

(Then she just says "forget it" and carries the "Chuck It!" in
one hand and throws the ball with the other)

Obsession...

...with this scrap of fabric. A few weeks ago I bought a scrap of Minky fabric for some appliques. Anne Morgan found it and has carried it around everywhere ever since. I'll wash it and try to hide it with the rest of the scraps when she's asleep but she finds it every time. It's become a game now, I'll try to hide it well and she can sniff it out like a dog sniffs a tennis ball. She is dragging it or wearing it at just about all times. This morning she chose to wear it.

15 Months

Anne Morgan had her 15 month check up today. She weighed 27.5 lbs and was 33.5 inches tall. Both are 95%. Her head is catching up as it is now 80% (not sure of the actual number). She did so well, she had to get 2 shots. She didn't like them at the time but got over it quickly and is now snoozing at home. We'll go to Target in a little while to get a prize and pick up her medicine-she had an ear infection. I'm really just writing all of this down to have on record...but you may enjoy this pic from yesterday! :)

sewing projects below

I guess since I started the sewing post before the other one, even though I waited to post it, it posts below the other one. So if you wanted to see some of my sewing projects, look below the "Afternoon" post...

An Afternoon in the Backyard

The girl loves her backyard! I know I've posted tons of pictures of her enjoying it but here are a few more...

These are her backyard shoes. I think they are so cute! This way she just has to slip these on quickly instead of going to get socks and shoes.

I'll be adding some pictures of some of my sewing projects a little later on.
