Christmas 2010

To say we had a wonderful Christmas would be an understatement. To say that AM was spoiled would be even more of an understatement. This post is going to have LOTS and LOTS of pictures so I'll spare you too many words. As many pictures as we did take, of course we didn't get one single family picture. Sad, I know. We celebrate Christmas 3 times so here are some pictures to take you though the events.

I will however go ahead and get something out of the way. I thought I would save this video for the end, but I think it's better to go ahead and share it now...

Yep! Anne Morgan will be a big sister in August! They will be 2 years apart. We are so excited and extremely blessed.

I don't have a picture from the first round of Christmas where we shared the news b/c I didn't have extra hands to be able to have a picture of video ready. Trey wasn't there...long story. You'll just have to trust me, they were super excited! ;)

Here she is in her new bouncey thing. Not really sure what you call it, but she loves it!

And opening her very first pair of UGGS from her Aunt Chasidi and Aunt Chelsi!

how cute!!

Round 2: sharing the big news!

AM got a life sized Rapunzel doll. You can see here how much she liked her, she was giving her kisses.

And her very fist car...

Here's a picture of what you saw earlier in the video...you think they were excited?!

She loves her kitchen
Playing with a nativity set with Pop

Sophie loved Rapunzel too...

Cooking for the baby...

Playing with her new kitchen from Grammie and Pop

I cannot believe that not only do we not have a family picture but we didn't get more of all of the cousins together. Maybe it's because I spent a lot of time in the bed this weekend. I took advantage of having lots of help around. I wasn't feeling too well, neither was AM. Come to find out, AM cut 2 molars and another tooth while we were there. No wonder she wasn't feeling well! She is doing much better and I think she was glad to be home. We loved getting to see all of our families but were surely worn out.

I'm feeling MUCH better today and have actually been really productive around the house. Time to get back to that by the way. I just wanted to update everyone while Miss Priss was napping. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too. I can't wait to catch up on all of your blogs too.

Christmas A Little Early

Christmas has come a little early for some around here. Anne Morgan has already received, and enjoyed I might add, her table and chairs set that Trey and I gave her for Christmas. She is so proud of it! And she is actually eating now that she can eat at this table. It's so cute. We are in the process of moving things into the attic and giving her her very own space in the extra room so that she can officially have a playroom. We're making room for more presents to come from others.

My mom and I went to IKEA on Wednesday to pick up her stuff and I also picked up my present from Trey. I am so excited. I am finally going to have good workspace and organization for my sewing. I'll show you a picture when I finish rearranging and organizing. I am so excited though!

And I am THRILLED to have found these little gems there too. OH. MY. GOODNESS. These are sooooo delicious. I may just have to make a trip back to buy some more. I had no idea how delicious they would be. After telling my mom about them after trying them, she mentioned that she spotted several people there buying the large bag of the little cinnamon rolls and that was it. They were obviously there just to pick up some more goodies. I haven't found a place to order them but I'll let you know if I find somewhere. Otherwise, next time you are in IKEA , PLEASE pick up a package. You won't be disappointed.

Another must if you're at IKEA and have kids...these bibs are amazing! I picked up a couple of pairs and am so glad I did!
And lastly, here are a couple of pictures from a friends house the other night. Our dear friends, Forrest and Teresa, invited us over for a Christmas dinner with another family. We had such a good time and these two little munchkins had more than their share of fun! How precious is little Knox? Gah! And I think AM had a little bit of a crush on him too. She followed him around everywhere and they ran. and they ran. and they ran. Back and forth through the house. Full speed! It was quite entertaining. They were both exhausted by the time we left.

And how could I forget to mention how obsessed AM was with their dog Daisy. Poor thing. AM couldn't get enough. She chased her and chased her and chased her. She's not used to little dogs so she was super excited. Eventually Daisy had to be put up in the bedroom so that AM would leave her alone!

I don't know when I'll be posting again. Next week is crazy busy. We are going somewhere every single day. We talked about going to Montgomery tomorrow to the Mickey Mouse Live show but we've decided to take it easy this weekend and rest up for the busy week ahead. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Christmas.

We Stand With Our Man...Cam

If there has ever been a player deserving of all of the awards he's receiving, it's him...Cameron Newton. We stand behind him 100%! And I think some of the idiots out there who have been reporting crap for a month or so now are starting to realize that that is all it is, crap. That's all I'll say b/c I could go on forever. We love him, he is an Auburn man. Some people may not have a clue what that means, but the Auburn family does and that's all that matters. War Eagle and we're so proud of you and the whole team!!

Seriously, every time this child hears the fight song, sees the AU logo or even just now when I was playing a video on here of the Tiger Walk at the Heisman ceremony where the fans were chanting "It's Great to be an Auburn Tiger" she breaks out in a cheer! War Eagle baby girl!!

And it absolutely IS great to be an Auburn Tiger!

Christmas is coming...

and it finally feels like it! We love the cold weather around here, can you tell?!

Although Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to some mild temperatures, say...how about the second week of January?! Yep! We're headed to Glendale, AZ for the BCS National Championship Game and could NOT be more excited! Everything is booked, now we just have to wait a month. We are so incredibly proud of our Tigers. They have stood strong though a lot of adversity but have not let it affect them. At least not negatively, I think it made them fight even harder. War Eagle!!

Shutterfly Shoutout!

Who doesn't love Shutterfly?! I know I do. They make it soo easy to upload your pictures and share them with friends and family. Not to mention how easy it is to create Christmas cards, birthday cards, Valentines, Thanksgiving...........

This year they are giving away 50 free Christmas Cards to anyone who blogs about them! I had seen a little bit about this on other blogs but once I got to sitting down and working on our own Christmas card did I pay attention to what was going on. Who doesn't want 50 free cards?! I know I do! They have so many designs to choose from. Just visit their site, www.shutterfly.com and take a look for yourself. I have several saved and just have to decide which one I want to send.

Here are a couple that I like. Of course, you can see that I really like the ones that say "Merry Christmas"!! :)

Lately...

My first thought was to tell you that we haven't updated much b/c there hasn't been much going on. That's actually not true, there's been a lot going on. Just not much to speak of or take pictures of. We were busy just like the rest of you last week with Thanksgiving, then beating Alabama on Friday- it was cold and wet but I am so glad we were there, giving an engagement party on Saturday and finally returning home on Sunday. Unfortunately when we got home, both AM and I were sick and then I discovered that our refrigerator died at some point while we were gone. Everything was ruined. Believe it or not, it's not so easy to get a new one either. Apparently everyone in the hour radius and beyond has been replacing theirs too. At Home Depot we picked one out but it would be the first week of January before they would have it! Same at Sears. I can't remember what the deal was with Lowes, I think the same. Finally we found one at Best Buy and will be able to pick it up this weekend. They couldn't deliver it until the 15th.

In the meantime, we were able to put up a Christmas tree. It's really growing on me. I'm very particular about my tree. I like a really tall tree with good shape, not too full but not too thin. And I and particular about having pretty white lights on it with a star on top. This year we went with a smaller tree, it's about 6.5 ft (three reasons, first: there were no larger trees to be found second: we figured it was going to take up less room since we have more toys in the house and third: I was super nervous about AM and the tree so I figured a smaller tree would be less inticing), and Trey finally got his wish and we decorated with big bulb colored lights. I have to say that it is growing on me. It's fun and AM loves it. Another plus, it hardly took any time to decorate! I tried to take a picture but I can't get one to turn out very well.

We haven't really left the house this week. I hope AM gets better soon, her cough is so nasty. And I'm ready to go back to the gym. She doesn't seem to feel too bad anymore, Sunday was another story, but her cough and her runny nose mean we can't get out much. She decided yesterday to play with Daddy's keyboard. It was actually pretty funny, she carried it around with her (it's wireless) and would go from couch to couch and type away. I guess she sees Mommy and Daddy doing that too much on the laptop. And she was SO serious about it. Monkey see monkey do. She is so funny these days. At all times, she is either on top of something or pulling out every toy or piece of clothing or diapers or "sorting" my fabric or....

Sorry for the lack of pictures. We'll try to do better but we'll be busy this weekend again. We're headed to the SEC Championship. WAR EAGLE!!!!

New favorite...

There isn't much to this but I just wanted to jot down that we have found a new favorite food for little miss picky. CRAB LEGS! Yep! We went to Red Lobster last night with Trey's sister and her boyfriend. Chasidi and I each ordered crab legs. I ordered AM popcorn shrimp. I wasn't sure if she would eat it but I really thought she might...bite sized and fried. Nope! Chasidi let her try a piece of one of her crab legs and she gobbled it up. We couldn't give it to her fast enough. It's nice to find something that she likes and is also really good for her. Someone noted that she would be an expensive date, to which her daddy replied, "GOOD!"

On another note, HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful time celebrating and giving thanks. We will be. We will but up and down the roads for 4 days. I pray that we all have safe travels.

And you didn't think I'd let you go without a WAR EAGLE did you? Anne Morgan is working on her cheer. Now it's "boarrrr hey!" Sometimes she tries to figure out the eagle part but it still needs some work.

Oh boy...

Anne Morgan just disappeared into her room and was awfully quiet.
I snuck back there to see what she was up to.

She pulled down the basket with her diapers and started throwing them everywhere.

Then she decided to put them back in the basket.

It must be pretty fun b/c now she's doing it again after cleaning up. Oh boy!

Time to Brag

...on YOU Anne Morgan! You have completely given up your paci!!!! I'm sure if you saw one you would want it but so far you haven't seen one. You have made it two full days and 3 nights now and I am so so proud of you. Not once at bedtime have you fussed. I think you were just so worn out you were just ready to get to sleep. The first two nights we tried to keep you up a little later (about an hour) and wear you out. Last night you couldn't hardly make it to your normal 7pm bedtime. I was nervous to put you down that early (Daddy was working late and I was so tired but figured I was in for a long evening) but you kept rubbing your eyes and ran to your room when I suggested "nite nite". Sure enough, you just wanted to go to bed. Naptime is a little more difficult but it's not that bad. Yesterday you actually fell asleep in the car on the way home from errands and lunch...without a peep. I could not be more proud of you. You are such a big girl!

Last night you had a fun bubble bath. That was one of my "tricks". I wanted you to play in the tub for a while. Here are a few pictures...

I LOVE YOU!!!
