Well we didn't make it to the game either. We didn't get our tickets in time. I was BUMMED to say the least. We did spend a TON of time in the backyard this weekend. The dogs loved all of the retrieving and AM loved the swinging and sliding. I loved the cooler temperatures. I wish they would stay but I'm not holding my breath. Here are a few pics from the past few days.

(one year later, doesn't he look great!)

Oh, we tried a new yogurt place in town (several times!) and it was de-lish! I highly recommend you trying it if you're ever in Auburn. We went to Tutti Frutti. My personal fave was the Strawberry. I can't even begin to describe to you how fabulous it is. It's so tart and fresh, so unbelievable. (I don't recommend the vanilla.) There's another new yogurt place downtown too, it's called Chill. We haven't been there yet but I can assure you we will!

We're Still Here Too!!

I've been meaning to do a post with the dogs for a while now. I know as far as pictures and the blog topics go it seems as though they are forgotten and neglected. I can assure you that is not the case. Not at all. They have been a little bored, it's too hot to go on walks or do anything outside of the house. I promise we will resume outside activities soon though, guys!
I planned on doing a post on them anyways and then realized there has never been a more appropriate time. This weekend marks 1 year since Beasley was shot. Remember that?! It is amazing how well he is doing. Truly amazing.

Mollie and Beasley adore Anne Morgan. And I don't know if there are words to describe how she feels about them. The one word I think of is obsessed. She giggles at everything they do. She loves when the kiss her all over, she loves to climb all over them, and as we speak she has found a tennis ball and keeps putting it in their mouths. She gets the biggest kick out of them, and herself. When they do go outside (early morning or evening) she stares out of the back door and watches them romp around. This is accompanied by much giggling! So so cute. I love that she loves them, and that they love her.

We were planning to go to the beach this weekend but found out it won't work out after all. However, something much more special for the dogs will be happening. Sunday we will be going to the Braves game with AM, Mollie and Beasley in tow. It's Bark in the Park! Trey and I took Mollie and Beasley the first year they had it but haven't been back since it is usually Labor Day and we have other plans. This year is this weekend b/c the Braves are out of town the next weekend. So while we were disappointed about the beach, we'll get to go to the game...with the WHOLE family! We are so excited. The dogs deserve this. I know it's going to be hot but it is so going to be worth it. And I can't think of a better time to take AM for her first game!

So here's to you Mollie and Beasley. We love you! You bring so much joy to our lives. We are looking forward to a fun time on Sunday. I hope we can get lots of pictures. (That may not be very easy though...)

And again...

Can you believe I am posting again? Anyways, I just read this blog and thought I would pass along the link. I am still in shock after reading it, I had to share...

I went to church with her growing up. She and her husband are missionaries and are getting ready to move to New Guinea. I am so glad I ran across her blog, they are amazing people! You should keep up with them too...and keep them in your prayers as they embark on this next challenge.

A little gem...

I found a little gem I thought I would share with those of you interested in fabrics...

They have TONS of great fabrics. Now, how to decide...

Super Sunday!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this Sunday. Our church service was awesome this morning. We followed it with an impromptu lunch with friends, both old and new. Then I had my Sunday afternoon at the gym while Daddy and daughter had a play date at home. This is becoming one of my favorite times of the week. Not because I get to do something alone, but because I love how excited each of them get for their special time. AM is so in love with her daddy. She typically won't nap if she knows he is home, there is too much fun to be had I guess!

How cute is she in her new tutu?

I hope you have a wonderful week. We sure got ours off to a great start with a great weekend. I'll be making some more of these this week...

Pretty Toes, Pretty Dolls, Pretty Messy

Anne Morgan's first set of pretty toes. It wasn't very easy but it sure is cute!

One day earlier this week, Anne Morgan woke up from her nap and noticed a doll that has been on a shelf above her changing table since she was born. It's pretty high so she's never really noticed it. It happens to be my American Girl doll Samantha from when I was a little girl. She became immediately enamored with her. Here are a few pictures (as you can tell she JUST woke up)

She generally carries things around in pairs. So here she has Samantha and her favorite stuffed animal, Tyler the dog.

And just for kicks, here she is pretty messy. I think this is the messiest she has ever been!

We are looking forward to spending time together as a family. Trey was in a seminar all weekend last weekend so we feel like we haven't really seen him in a while. AM is getting VERY ( and I mean VERY) clingy to him when he's around. She does not want him to leave in the mornings. I have to pry her from him, she is definitely a Daddy's girl.

Hopefully her top teeth will make their appearance this weekend, or in the next few coming days. You can see SIX on top trying to pop through. Her gums look so incredibly painful. She's been a GREAT sport though. I just hope they come on through.

Have a great weekend!!

a few more things...

Headbands [and babies]
Her LeapFrog reading and counting toy [if she isn't carrying a baby, she's carrying this]
of course babies and the stroller
she still loves her horse
and ANYTHING she can push in her stroller

a FEW of her favorite things...

Anne Morgan is so fun these days. She plays with so many different things. Here are just a couple of them.

AM picked these SUNGLASSES out all on her own the other day. We had to pay for them before we were finished in the store so we could take the big bulky tag off since she wouldn't put them down!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner and CHOCOLATE CAKE the other night
And her BABY DOLLS and her new BABY STROLLER. She's so cute!

We are getting ready for football season around here, including the cooler weather. My sister passed along this old school Auburn cheerleading outfit for AM. It is the exact same style that she and I wore growing up!

Notice the bow in her HAND. She will NOT wear one in her hair. (She tries to put it in herself after pulling it out right when I get it on her head. Obviously she can't do the clipping so she ends up carrying it around)

And I have to be extra careful these days, she LOVES to stand in her rocking chair. Still refuses to look at the camera for me to get a good picture.
And here is a picture of her in her adirondack chair. She loves these chairs. She won't look at me though!
Still no teeth and I think her ears are still bugging her. We've gone back to the paci. It has seemed to help. Guess we'll just wait until she gets more teeth before we take it away.

Hangin' in There

The title pretty much sums things up these days. AM has done really well without the paci, it has almost been 2 weeks. She doesn't even think about it in the car, she hasn't had it for bedtime once since last Wednesday but it takes much longer to get her to bed, but she does get it for nap time. If she didn't get it she wouldn't take a nap at all. Even though I give it to her then, she still isn't napping well. There are two villains she's facing: an ear infection and teething. My goodness I feel so awful for her. She is so tired, and in so. much. pain.

The first two teeth didn't seem to be a problem at all but these top teeth are wretched.

I don't think she really misses the paci. In fact I tried to give it to her yesterday when we were coming back from Montgomery and she didn't want anything to do with it. Another time I tried she just wanted to play with it and put it in my mouth, not hers. I wasn't going to give in but she is in so much pain I thought it might help. If she will decide to take it we may just forego the attempt for a little longer.

Yesterday she didn't let me leave her in the nursery at church and this afternoon when I finally got her calmed down in the child care center at the gym a little while later they came to get me. They said she would play and be fine and then just lose it a minute later. That continued for about 45 minutes before they came to get me. Poor baby. Please pray for her. I hope that her ears feel better soon and those blasted teeth finally make their appearance.

(I've been trying to take some pictures of her but she refuses to look at the camera these days. Not only does she not look at it, she looks the opposite direction!)
